Fall Retreat 2020 Instructions
Schedule of Events:
December 11 – DAY 1 (Friday) - 5pm to 9pm
- Arrive at 4:45pm and check in at the Registration Table and get your Name Tags
- Participants should have eaten dinner already as we will not provide dinner for them
- Participants will be given a sack snack (cookies, chips, Kool aid & water) at around 6:30pm
- Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy the retreat. Or you can come back and join us for Adoration at around 8pm. They will be dismissed at 9pm to abide by the curfew mandate.
- Come willingly with an open mind, heart and be ready to participate. Be prepared to meet other teens and your Adult Facilitators. Sing your heart out with the choir and just trust God in this retreat. Pray fervently.
- Evening will end with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament around 9pm
- You will be given a shirt to wear the following day
December 12 – DAY 2 (Saturday) - 11am to 6pm
- Arrive at 10:45am to check in with the registration table. Make sure you are wearing your Theme Shirts.
- Participants should have breakfast before coming to Day 2. They will be given sack lunch (subway style sandwich, chips, cookies, Kool aid & water) at around 1:00pm.
- Parents are welcome again to stay for the duration of the retreat.
- Participants will attend the 5pm Saturday Vigil Mass and we encourage Parents to attend Mass with your teens.
- We also ask the parents to arrive back to church at 4pm for a short talk and to prepare yourself to meet back your teens as well as the love letters we ask you to give to them.
- All events, meetings, gatherings and activities will be handled with utmost safety, care and discipline according to the rules and protocols as mandated by the State, CDC, Health Services and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
- We uphold Safety First. We give utmost attention for the safety of everyone.
- Masks should be worn all the time. Registration Table will have Hand Sanitizers. Please practice Social Distancing and wash your hands frequently.
Christmas Toy-Give-Away
December 18
Toy-give-away Prep day – 4pm to 8pm
- Teens and Parents who wants to help may arrive at 4pm to help with Toy give away prep.
- Teens and Parents will be given instructions for the prep and for the actual Toy-Give-Away day.
- Catechists and Staff will help with the prep
- Mask should be worn all the time. Hand Sanitizers will be stationed by the Hall Stage. Please practice Social Distancing and wash your hands frequently.
- All prep work will be done in the Hall.
December 19
Annual Christmas Toy-Give-Away – 9am to 11am
- We are asking all volunteers to arrive at 8:30am to help and start preparing
- Leaders will give instruction on procedure in giving toys.
- There will be groups assigned different tasks for that day.
- Families arriving in cars to pick up toys will be asked to park in the school parking lot. They will not be allowed to leave their car but instead wait for staff to approach them.
- Families who are Walk In will be asked to stand in line (6 feet distancing) by the school corridor as they wait for staff to approach them.
- ALL TOYS WILL BE HANDED TO THE FAMILIES. There will be no more self-picking of toys by the children. This is being done for the safety of everyone.
- Families may leave as soon as they received their toys.
