Annual Walk for the Hungry
October is the month of the Rosary and our Annual Walk for the Hungry. Thank you to those who attended our Walk & Pray for the Hungry yesterday. This is part 1of a 2-part series (Part 1 was on October 24). Our next Walk & Pray for the Hungry is this coming Saturday October 31 from 9 am to 11 am. Please check our website for your assigned time. We will walk and pray for the conversion of souls and to end this pandemic. This fundraiser will also help our most unfortunate brothers & sisters who are homeless and in need of food.
CHALLENGE
This Sunday’s Gospel – 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time - The Commandment to love God is higher than the Commandment to love the neighbor. But our nature offers greater resistance to the love of neighbor. Yet, when we trust in our Savior’s love, we can be more courageous in loving the image of God that is frequently veiled from us in our neighbor. We come to recognize the resemblance of the Creator in each other. For, the pure love of God is to love what is of God in all creatures. Let us then imitate Jesus, who taught us more through His works than His words, how to love our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and our neighbor as we do our own self.
Matthew 22:34-40
If you can attend Mass in person and you are longing for Him in the Eucharist, then He wants to see you.
Come to Mass this Sunday and be transformed by His Word and by the Eucharist.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, Not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
